Since I went to Yale, writing this book and fun and easy. I came up with most of the ideas on the train from New York to New Haven, remembering my own college experiences: lunches in the Trumbull dining hall, football teammates holding hands and playing tag, walks back to my dorm room late at night. I drew favorite places like the roof of Jonathan Edwards which looks out over campus (the cover of the book). I also spent a week at Yale sketching things I hadn’t known: an English seminar on Chaucer, students doing capoeira on Cross Campus, a fencing team practice, the Yale Daily News. So this book let me see college in new ways.
