The rare bird

This is the story of a cat who thinks he’s a bird. He sees a book, gets inspired, then “flies” around his apartment, turning his world into a forest where the shower is a waterfall, the toilet a pond etc… (probably my favorite illustration in the book). He’s one imaginative cat! Then he naps and dreams, reads another book, and he’s off again on his next imaginary adventure. The cat is based on our cat. He’s a special guy, not really a cat. When I work at my desk I throw his stuffed toy and he retrieves it. One day he was flying around our apartment, almost airborne, and I looked at him and thought… bird
